You need to keep the water moving in your pond and a waterfall or moving air bubbles with both work. If you have any questions about anything just ask in the comments. That patch is only a tiny fraction of the thickness of the pipe, so there's a good chance that it will crack again. After sanding, I would clean with acetone to remove the dirt and then apply several layers.
Thanks for the input. Since there isn't any pressure on that fitting it hasn't been a problem so far. We have about 12k miles of bouncing since the repair. On tight cracks the acetone has a tendency to melt the two sides of the original crack back together. It doesn't look like there's a lot on the pipe in the video but the amount of ABS I put on the pipe is pretty close to the thickness of the pipe. It certainly wouldn't hurt anything to sand it and add another coat and on a line that had pressure in it, it would be a good idea. Hopefully someone will see your comment and it might help them. Confusing interchange of the words “clarifier” and “ sterilizer” when their meanings are vastly different in terms of filtration.
It seems to be interchangeable in the pond industry. If you search either word they both take you to the same products. I suppose if you kill the algae it sterilizes the water and if you remove the dead algae it clarifies the water. 🤷♂️
So, did you turn your watch back on after you turned it off or did you just put it on the charger while it was off?
I put mine on the charger and it started but I don't think it would matter. I think something is stuck running in the background and the reboot clears it all out.
First of all, thank you so much for your amazing video! I have a 2005 F250 which I also have train horns in it with a Killswitch. I do use the train horns at the boat ramp with the alarm because people have been stealing this model truck left and right and also for a deserving person on the road as well lol. I got home from my 4 Hour road trip yesterday afternoon around 3 o’clock in South Florida and it was warm out not cold, and about five hours later which was around 9 o’clock last night. My horn started going off which includes my train horns, so I definitely disturbed my neighbors and I had no idea what was going on lol Finally I figured out where the fuse was and I pulled it. Your instructional video is amazing including the tip with the magnets I ordered them today. I did find the membrane on Amazon for $68 and have ordered it but considering trying your method but at the same time for peace of mind of $68 I might just replace it so I don’t do this to my neighbors again anytime soon either way your video has been extremely helpful. Thank you!! We are in April 2024 now, has your horn membrane repair still worked for you since 2021?
